I am a registered dietitian nutritionist with over 30 years of experience helping clients and family members achieve health through nutrition.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University where I completed a Coordinated Undergraduate Program.
To become a Registered Dietitian takes years of scientific and medical education, training in the field, passage of a national registration exam and then annual continuing education credits to remain competent in the ever changing field of nutrition. A dietitian is an educator, motivator and resource for those who seek wellness through the science of food.
Nutrition is a science and evidenced based field requiring knowledge and continuous training in order to be an expert in what works, what doesn’t work and what could be potentially harmful. I am that expert for you!
I have had the honor to work in a variety of healthcare settings which has allowed me to gain expertise in nutrition including hospitals, rehabilitation and skilled long term care nursing facilities, home care, hospice, education and wellness. I have worked as a Dietitian for Richard Simmons in Florida where I was fortunate to teach active people who desired to achieve fitness. I have led weight loss groups, diabetes classes, cardiac rehab programs, and individual counseling sessions.
I have a strong passion for helping people get healthy and stay healthy while enjoying the bounty of wholesome foods and cooking meals to maintain health. Good nutrition without compromising taste can be done!
I look forward to working in partnership with you to achieve your health and wellness goals!
